Film review: The Lost City, directed by: Aron and Adam Nee, 2022

In the comedy film "The Lost City", the plot is not very bright. But sometimes there are fun movies that don't require a lot of thinking and manage to ease and improve the mood.

The film "The Lost City" describes Loretta (Sandra Bullock), who is a writer of thrillers and some erotica, bestsellers that gain worldwide distribution. A not very smart man, Alan (Channing Tatum) decides to kidnap her, because he thinks that a treasure she writes about in one of the books, is real.

The movie "The Lost City" is very similar to the movies of the eighties, Schwarzenegger style with a girl, who both hate each other, but end up falling in love. It's in the style of the clichéd movies, but ones that do the job really well. The film has a lot of self-aware jokes, sexual tension and violence that is a little more brutal than it was before.

What is surprising is that the movie "The Lost City" is really funny. It has funny scenes that will make you laugh out loud. Channing Tatum manages to be a pretty face and not a bad comedic actor at all. The fact that the duo is clumsy and not really action heroes, adds to the mood and fun of the viewer.

Sandra Bullock plays an educated and not very nice woman and Tatum is a lovable idiot, which is revealed at its peak when the situation gets complicated. The chemistry between them is really winning and helps us enjoy a work that is more than a casual action movie. There is also a guest appearance by Daniel Radcliffe, aka Harry Potter, with an extreme and really fun role as Abigail Fairfax.

In short, watch the movie "The Lost City", enjoy the journey, as it is a fun movie that doesn't require much effort.
