Series Review: Black Butterflies, Creators: Bruno Merle, Olivia Abdo, 2022

After a writing crisis, Adrien (Nicola Dubuchel) finds an original solution. He can't write, but his creative mind is about to find an outlet. But, fate saves him, an old man named Alber (Niels Arstrup), offers him an offer, which he cannot refuse. He tells the story of his life, but it doesn't really have sweet memories of sitting by the lake, but of murderous journeys.

The stories complicate Adrian and the series moves along two lines: one in the past and one in the present. It describes the stormy days after the Second World War, difficult and dangerous days, which were not easy for anyone.

The plot gets more and more complicated and presents a sophisticated and dark narrative, which draws the heroes in. There are many violent, suspenseful scenes and even sections that are not really recommended for children.

The series "Black Butterflies" is one of the most daring and extreme series that is currently on Netflix, but it is so good that you can ignore the brutality that drips from it.

Those who are looking for a series in the style of the past, without the filters of recent years, will find what they are looking for in the "Black Butterflies" series. This is an excellent series, which is based on careful direction, a brutal plot, excellent acting and a lot of darkness, which gradually reaches the viewer, who enjoys every moment.
